Vaigai Oil Mills (“we”, “us”), Govindhan Street, Mary Ann School Opp., K.Pudur, Madurai – 625007, Tamil Nadu, operates the website vaigaioilmills.in. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Information we collect
- Account and order details: name, email address, phone number, shipping address and order history when you register or place an order.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials. We receive only a payment reference and status.
- Messages: anything you send through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and essential cookies.
2. How we use it
- To process, pack and deliver your order and to send order and shipping updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To keep your account secure and prevent fraud.
- To send our newsletter, only if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email.
- To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
3. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and to remember your cart, and an optional “remember me” cookie if you choose it. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work, but your cart will be emptied.
4. Sharing
We share the minimum information needed with: Razorpay (payment processing), our courier partners (name, address and phone for delivery), Hostinger (website and email hosting) and Google (website fonts, and the map on our Contact page). We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
5. Retention
Order records are kept for eight years to meet tax requirements. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Contact messages are kept for up to two years.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to view, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop marketing messages, by emailing vaigaioilmillsmdu@gmail.com or calling +91 63813 79240. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Access to order data is limited to staff who need it to fulfil your order.
8. Children
Our website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
